T-WRUG is a network of Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (AHS) clients using the Touchworks EHR product. The intention of the group is to collaborate and share ideas with one another in regards to implementation, education, configuration, and utilization of the product. Implementing an EHR can be an overwhelming and daunting task, as all parts of your organization will be impacted including: physicians, front office, back office, and ancillary departments. Having a forum to join forces and communicate will make the journey much easier. In addition, T-WRUG provides a unified influential voice with regards to enhancements and integration considerations for the Touchworks product. The group has monthly conference calls and meets in-person three times a year. The on-site meeting rotates between client locations, providing an opportunity to see the product and workflows in action. Meeting minutes are sent out to the entire group after each event. Membership provides users access to configuration guides, training materials, and tips and tricks posted by members of the group. Additionally, there is a forum for discussion on different modules, interfaces, and technical integration.
